Francine Krenicki, VP Product Development
Francine Krenicki has over 20 years experience in the beauty industry, developing award-winning formulas in the skincare, haircare, colour and fragrance categories. At a very young age she was a self-confessed “product junkie” and started her career in New York City fresh out of college. Throughout the years she held key product development positions at Estee Lauder, Frederic Fekkai, Avon, Strivectin and most recently La Mer.
She met Amy Gordinier-Regan, CEO of Skinfix, through a mutual industry friend and joined the Skinfix team to spearhead the development of the product portfolio. “I was amazed at the Skinfix formulas from the very first time I tried them. They really work and tackle the tough skin issues that have nothing to do with aging that a lot of people have and don’t know where to go for help.”
Francine believes skincare is such an important category and feels “if your skin doesn’t look its best, nothing else matters.” Her mission is to develop new formulas and product categories for Skinfix that revolve around healing irritated skin and use the most natural, non-irritating good for your skin ingredients.
Dr. Angela Donald, Naturopath and Director of Medical Affairs
Dr. Angela Donald is a Naturopathic Doctor with a Masters in Human Health Nutritional Sciences and a strong background in clinical research. After graduating from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, she had a general practice for seven years where she treated a wide variety of health concerns, including eczema. What she found particularly intriguing was the link between infant atopic dermatitis and the progression to other conditions such as food allergies and asthma.
Always looking to expand her scope of practice, Angela became certified in cosmetic acupuncture and participated in clinical training in Mind/Body Medicine from Harvard University where she was focused on integrating mind/body medicine in her practice.
“I was drawn to Naturopathic Medicine because of its emphasis on the prevention of disease and promotion of optimal health. But not all natural remedies are created equal. I was fascinated by deciphering the scientific literature to find the safest and most effective treatments to heal the body.”
With a focus on evidence-based natural therapeutics, Angela completed her Masters of Science in Human Health and Nutritional Sciences at the University of Guelph. She has first-hand experience coordinating and conducting human clinical trials. Angela then became an Associate Editor of Integrated Healthcare Practitioners Magazine, a peer-reviewed publication dedicated to bringing clinical research reviews to Medical Doctors, Naturopathic Doctors, Chiropractors, and other practitioners.
With over 11 years in the health and wellness industry, Angela is now the Director of Medical Affairs at Skinfix. She regularly speaks with dermatologists and pharmacists about optimizing skin barrier health in dry skin, eczema, and diabetes and how managing the skin barrier in early life may prevent the progression to other atopic conditions. Angela is instrumental in managing the rigorous clinical trials of all of Skinfix’s OTC skincare products.
“Our commitment to clinically testing our natural skincare collection is unique in the industry and helps reinforce our efficacy – which matters to today’s consumer.”
